Blue Arbor is my first foray into the world of installations, combining my love of nature photography with a new darkroom skill I've learned. All the images shown are ones I took in Mary Beth Doyle Park, Ann Arbor, Michigan. I printed large negative versions of each, and exposed them in the darkroom onto cyanotype-soaked wood blocks to create this nostalgic blue. The wood logs shown in the video are all from trees that have recently been chopped down in that same park to make room for more houses. I hope you enjoy my efforts to give you a taste of what I see and feel in this little forest.
